Roberta Oaks, a Missouri native, is making her way to the top. Previously in mixed media collage and photography it is sure to say that Roberta's career was unplanned. She has become a self taught fashion designer Now stationed in Hawaii, Roberta has created an eco friendly line. She uses fabrics like organic cotton and bamboo jersey knit. She has become one of Hawaii's most successful local designers. Her clothes are not only sold in Hawaii but now on the mainland and internationally. Roberta has 150 stores and can be found online.
Her line is dedicated to supporting not only ethical practices but alsoa sustainable economy and planet. She is a designer to look up to. The cardboard boxes and paper used at her store are always recycled and her catalogs are always made from recycled paper. Not only are her pieces eco friendly but chic. Roberta loves to mix color and bold patterns. Her garments are designed to be fun, colorful, and versatile. She has been into fashion ever since she was young. "The ability to transform a persons mood and feeling through a fashion is really cool."
Roberta is all about keeping it local. She believes in small businesses. The lines flagship store is located in Chinatown. It has a showroom plus office space. Her brand became big by word of mouth. Now with the access to it online her brand will continue to grow all over the world.
