The Making of a Cover Dress
The author uses a formal tone in her story. She only gives quotes from other people. The audience probably mostly pertains to fans of project runway or those inspired by the element of design.
Calling all aspiring designers! Is it your dream to have one of your garments featured on one of fashions major magazines? Check this story out then.
Every month different designers battle it out to be on the cover of Marie Claire. It their own personal display window for one whole month for millions of people to see. Recently on project runway designers were challenged to create something with color and versatility that would look great in a shot from the waist up. Heidi Klum would feature it in Marie Claire's April 2010 issue.
Anthony Williams nailed it. "Heidi was my true inspiration" said Williams. He pictured Heidi instead of his model. She was pregnant at the time so he had to find a way to embrace that and make her look fierce.
